how to make your mehndi last longer

A beginner applying mehandi heena paste for the first time may face a bit of irritation or itchiness when the mehandi heena paste dries. It may last for three four times but after that your skin would adapt itself to this boon of nature. In case the irritation prevails every time you apply the mehandi heena paste avoid using mehandi because you maybe allergetic to it.

After the mehandi dries apply the solution of lemon juice and sugar to it with the help pf a dabbling spray or a cotton ball. This syrup helps to enhance the acidity of the mehandi heena paste to make it last longer and to provide a better stain. Apply it periodically when the mehandi heena paste dries . Application of this syrup is not necessary yet it definitely improves the quality of your mehandi.Make sure that the mehandi remains on your hand as long as possible form 4-6 hours but a good mehandi heena paste gives a good quality stain within 2 hours only. After 3- 4 hours scrap the mehandi design off your hands with a blunt knife or your fingernails.

Next rub some oil like euclayptus oil or the clove oil on your palms or feet to remove the excess heena and to further improve the quality of your mehandi. IT Would also help to remove any unwanted itchiness that maybe caused by the lemon-sugar syrup. For immediate solutions for darkening your mehandi design you can pit your hands in contact with a heat source like a hair dryer or just hover your hands over the smoke of the burning clove.Or just simple wait a day and your mehandi design will hover into darkbrown.

A warning make sure that your palms do not come in contact with water for at-least 12 hours at the least coz this would prevent the stain to retain a better colors. For this you can cover your hands with a nylon gloves while sleeping or just apply mask like a cucumber mask or an ideal face mask and leave it,if you are planning to leave the mehandi heena paste overnight make sure that you apply a solution of lemon sugar syrup with the help of rolled cotton balls after allowing the mehandi to dry a little and cover the hands with a plastic bag, some people also apply a cover of toilet paper when the mehandi heena paste is crispy dry.

For the feet wearing nylon socks overnight can help .Avoid using plastic bags for coverings because they do not allow your hands to breathe. An alternative to the lemon -sugar syrup is available in the markets these days as apllying this syrup and sitting outdoors can attract a lot of bugs to your design. It's known as the new skin. A good alternative indeed but it smells terrible and it may be a bit difficult to remove this solution from your palms. Warm water should be used.

We hope that these tips would help enhance the beauty and colour of your mehandi design. Make sure that you apply the lemon-sugar syrup after the mehandi design dries as if during applied when the design is wet the syrup may smear the design. The longer you retain the mehandi heena paste the darker the colour would be, for the brownish reddish stain 3 -4 hour with the use of these tips is enough but for the darker black stain leave it for atleast six hours to overnight.
